TOTTENHAM SECURE FA CUP FORTH ROUND PLACE AFTER WIN AGAINST BURNLEY

     Spurs bounced back from 2-0 down against Burnley yesterday in their FA cup replay after early goals from Sordell and Wallace gave Burnley the lead. Goals form Paulinho Capoue Chiriches and Danny Rose sent spurs on their way to the next round of the competiton

 Burnley took the lead when Sordell latched on to Kieran Trippiers searching ball before hitting the ball sweetly past Michel Vorm with the outside of his boot in the third minute

 Burnley doubled their advantage five minutes later after a Wallace free kick took a deflection off Soldado sending the keeper the wrong way Tottenham got their equalizer in the 10 minute after a cross into the box by Andros Townsend was flicked on by Soldado into the path of Paulinho which the brazillian took brilliantly on his chest and hit it past Heaton on the half volley

 Soldado then wasted a glorious opportunity to bring spurs level before the break after hitting the woodwork from about 4 yards out after a squared ball from Andros Townsend. Although spurs did find the equalizer a few moments later with a fierce shot from Capoue after a brilliant cut back from Ben Davies.

 Spurs took the lead for the first time four minutes after the restart after horrible defending from Burnley allowed Chiriches to head home from close range from a spurs set piece. Spurs then increased their lead when Soldado did brilliantly to pick out Danny Rose inside the 6 yard box which the defender tapped in from close range

 Tottenham had other chances to extend their lead even further but the scoreline proved to be enough on the day

 In other FA cup replays, Southampton overcame Ipswich 1-0 but their victory was marred by a hamstring injury to star midfielder Victor Wanyama and Bradford ran out 4-0 winners against Millwall to book a fourth round tie against Chelsea
